Nandy'S Engineering Works

Our place is Nandy'S Engineering Works and you can find us at 139 Benaras Road in the Babudanga part of Salkia. It is a very crowded street with a lot of traffic and noise all day long. We have been running this engineering shop for quite some time now. Inside, it’s mostly lathe machines and various tools for fixing mechanical parts. We don’t have a big office or a reception desk. You just walk in and talk to whoever is not busy with a machine. People bring us all sorts of things, like old engine parts that need a bit of turning or custom bolts they can't find in the market. The air always smells a bit like machine oil and metal. Salkia is a busy hub, and we fit right in with the other workshops around here. It gets quite dusty with the window open to the road, but we don't mind it much. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the metal is cut the way it needs to be. Sometimes it takes a bit longer if a machine acts up, but we usually get it sorted. We are just local people doing manual work. There are no suits or big meetings here, just us and the tools. We take on whatever comes through the door and try to make sense of the sketches people bring in on scraps of paper.
