About Aniya Fashion Fabric – Fashion & Trends in Howrah
Aniya Fashion Fabric is tucked away in Kola Munsipara, in the Pachla area. If you come by, you’ll see we have rolls of fabric leaning against almost every wall. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, trying to find a specific color or pattern in the back of the shop. We started this business because we liked working with textiles, and Pachla is a good place for it. The shop is small and the lighting could be better, but it’s our space. We spend the day measuring out lengths of cloth and cutting them for whoever comes in. There’s always thread on the floor and the sound of scissors cutting through heavy material. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people just walk in because they live nearby or they’ve heard we have what they need. We aren’t trying to be a high-end fashion house. We just provide fabric to people who need it. It’s a simple life, really. We open the shutters in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait to see who stops by. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, and other days we can barely keep up with the cutting. We don't have any fancy technology, just our eyes and our hands. It’s worked for us so far, so we just keep at it and hope the electricity stays on through the afternoon.
