Jm Engineering Works

Jm Engineering Works sits at Plot No.48 on Brindabon Mullick Lane, right near the Howrah Maidan. It is a busy little place where there is always the sound of metal being worked on or machines running in the background. We are a small crew and we spend most of our hours fixing things or making parts that people need for their specific projects. Howrah Maidan is usually a bit chaotic with all the people and traffic, so our workshop is like a very focused corner of that world. We don't have any smooth-talking office staff here. Mostly it’s just the guys in their work clothes who know how to use a lathe and a welding torch properly. We have been at this specific spot for quite some time, and people in the local area know exactly where to find us when something breaks or needs to be built from scratch. The shop stays a bit cluttered with tools and metal scraps, but we generally know where everything is kept. Sometimes the rain makes the lane outside a bit of a mess, but the work doesn't stop for that. We just get on with whatever job is currently on the workbench. It is not always the cleanest work, but it is necessary for the local shops and businesses around us. We just try to do a solid job so people come back next time they have a problem that needs fixing.
