Now Oye

Now Oye is located at No. 10 Hat Lane, which is right in the Mullick Fatak area of Howrah Maidan. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets, especially on market days. Our building is an older one and Hat Lane itself is quite narrow, so you have to watch your step with all the cycles and carts passing by. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant movement. Inside, it’s a bit more relaxed, but we are always doing something. Whether it’s handling orders or just sorting through things, there isn’t much downtime. The walls are a bit thin, so we can hear the neighbors and the street life pretty clearly. We don't have a big polished showroom. It’s more of a functional space where we get the work done. The lights sometimes flicker when the grid is heavy, and we just wait for them to steady themselves. Sometimes we sit on the steps outside for a bit of air when the office feels too cramped. People around here are friendly, and we often find ourselves talking to the other shopkeepers about the weather or the traffic. It’s a very local way of working. We don't put on any acts for anyone. This is our spot in Howrah, and it’s where we do what we do every day without much fuss. We just keep things moving and hope for a busy afternoon.
