We’ve been over here at C. R. Maji V. Road in Dasnagar for a while now. Most people around Panchantala know where the workshop is, even if they don’t stop in every day. It’s a busy spot in Sanpur. We mostly focus on engineering work, the kind of stuff that keeps machines running. The shop isn’t fancy. There’s usually some grease on the floor and the sound of tools going all day. It gets real hot in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We start early most mornings. It’s mostly just a few local guys working here. We handle whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s a small part that needs fixing, other times it’s something bigger that takes a few days. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty for a website or anything like that. It’s more about the work on the bench and getting things sorted. If you walk past the corner, you’ll probably see someone moving parts around or talking to a delivery driver. The address is a bit of a mouthful with the C/O bit, but once you find V. Road, you’re basically there. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some businesses come and go, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s noisy and dusty, but it’s home for us during the day. We don't have a big front office. Just the workspace.
