Super Engineering Works

Our place is out on Amta Road in Dasnagar. If you know this area, you know it’s mostly workshops and small factories all lined up. We’ve been at this spot for some years. The workshop floor is always covered in metal shavings and oil. It’s just how things are when you’re working with steel every day. We don’t spend much time cleaning up until Saturday evening. The traffic on Amta Road gets really bad around five, so we usually wait a bit before heading home. There are about five of us here most days. We do a lot of turning and milling work. The machines are old but they still run fine if you treat them right. We get a lot of walk-ins from other shops nearby needing help with a specific part. It’s a loud place, so we end up shouting to hear each other over the noise of the grinders. We don’t really do any advertising. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the gate open. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we spend our breaks. It’s a simple setup. Just some heavy machinery, a couple of workbenches, and a lot of hard work. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It gives us a chance to talk about things other than work. The tea stall guy knows our order by heart now. We usually get a mix of biscuits and ginger tea around four. It’s a rough and ready kind of life.
