B.N.K Apparels Private Limited is situated at 186 J. N. Mukherjee Road in Salkia. We are in Unit Number 4 on the ground floor of Block B. Being on the ground floor is actually really helpful because we don’t have to lug heavy bags of clothes up any stairs. Howrah is a busy place, and J. N. Mukherjee Road always has trucks and tempos moving around. Our unit is part of a larger block, so there are other businesses nearby too. Inside, the space is mostly taken up by workbenches and iron stations. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a while. The 711106 area has a lot of history with trade and manufacturing, so we fit right in. It can get pretty dusty with all the traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the workspace. We don’t really have a reception or a waiting room; if you walk in, you are right in the middle of the production area. We spend our days counting inventory and making sure the stitching is straight. It is a practical setup for a practical business. We drink tea from the stall around the corner and just keep the machines running.
