Ali Hand Embroidery

Ali Hand Embroidery is located in Khorop South Para in the Amta area of Howrah. We have been working from this spot for a long time. It is a local business and we mostly handle work for people in the neighborhood or nearby villages. Hand embroidery is a slow process and it requires a steady hand and a lot of focus. We have a few wooden frames set up in the house where we stretch the cloth tight to do the work. The lighting is not always the best, especially when the weather is gloomy, so we try to do most of the difficult patterns during the morning hours. We do not have a big office or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we spend our days. Sometimes the kids run around while we are trying to count stitches, but we make it work. Living and working in Howrah means we are used to the noise and the busyness of the area. We do not do any fancy advertising or have a big website.
