S L V Bricks is located over at 305, Rajaji Nagar in Shoolagiri. It’s a straightforward operation we’ve got going on here. Making bricks is dusty work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. Shoolagiri is a decent place to be based, not too far from the main roads. Most of our time is spent out in the yard or dealing with the raw materials. It’s not a fancy office job by any means. Our hands are usually dirty and the boots never stay clean for long. We’ve been at this Rajaji Nagar spot for a bit. People around here know where to find us if they need a load of bricks for a wall or a small project. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure the stacks are ready and the bricks are solid. The weather affects us a lot, especially when it rains, but we just work around it. There’s a certain rhythm to the day once the machines start up. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a local business, plain and simple. We don't try to be anything we aren't. If the bricks are good, that’s usually enough to keep people coming back. We’re just part of the local landscape here in Shoolagiri. It’s been that way for a long time and we don’t expect it to change much. We just keep doing what we do.
