B K R Bio Bricks

You can find B K R Bio Bricks at 71, Denkanikotta Road in Navadhi. We’ve been set up here for a little while now. We make bricks that are a bit different from the usual ones you see. It involves a lot of mixing and pressing materials together. The yard in Navadhi is where we do all the heavy work. It’s usually covered in dust and bits of organic material we use for the mix. It’s a bit of a messy process to get it all just right. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun. The weather is usually okay, but when it’s hot, the work gets much harder for us. We aren't a huge factory with robots or anything. It’s just us using the presses and stacking the finished bricks in the shade to cure properly. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and take our breaks. Sometimes people stop by and ask what we’re making because the bricks look a bit different to them. We just explain it simply. Most of our days are spent checking the moisture levels and moving the heavy pallets around the yard. It’s physical work that leaves you tired by the end of the day. We don't have any big brochures or fancy signs. Just the address on the road and a lot of bricks waiting to be used. We just keep doing our thing every day.
