L K M Company is tucked away at number 40 in the Sipcot Industrial Complex over in Hosur. If you know Hosur, you know how industrial it is. There’s always a hum of machines or trucks idling nearby. We’ve been in this unit for quite some time now. It’s a practical space, meant for work and not for showing off. The floors are concrete, and we’ve got shelves lining the walls with all sorts of parts and materials. It’s usually just a small crew of us here. We spend most of our time on the floor or dealing with suppliers who come in and out of the complex. It gets pretty hot in the summer, especially with all the metal around, but we have some old fans that keep the air moving. We aren't some big multinational; we’re just a local company doing our bit in the manufacturing chain. Our neighbors in the other units are good people, and we often help each other out if someone is short on a tool or needs a hand with a heavy load. It’s a bit gritty and there’s always grease on someone’s hands, but that’s the nature of the work we do. We like being in Sipcot because it feels like everyone here is actually making things. It's a busy, hardworking atmosphere, and that suits us just fine.
