We are Internaational Stones India Pvt. Ltd.. Our home base is at E5, which is inside the Si Plot Industruial Complex. We are part of the 8 Phase Expansion in Hosur, Tamilnadu. Being out here, it gets pretty hot, especially in an industrial area like this one. We work with a lot of heavy stone. The yard is usually full of slabs of granite or marble waiting to be processed. It’s a messy business with a lot of water and stone dust everywhere, so we are always wearing boots. Moving these stones around takes a lot of care and some heavy equipment. Our office is just a small corner of the building where we handle the paperwork and talk to customers. We aren't much for fancy talk or corporate presentations. People come to us because they need stone for a project, and we show them what we have in the yard. The 8th Phase is a bit of a drive from the main town, so it’s fairly quiet except for the sound of the saws cutting through the rock. We’ve got a crew that knows how to handle the material without breaking it, which is the most important thing. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We just focus on getting the slabs cut to the right size and shipped out. It's a simple, tough business.
