Our place, Balai Press Products (India)Pvt. Ltd, is located at A-12 in the Sidco Industrial Estate within Sipcot. It is a bit of a journey to get out here every morning, but once the gates open, the day starts moving fast. The industrial estate is a huge area filled with different factories, and we are just one of the many spots where things are being made. Inside our unit, the main sound is the rhythmic thud of the press machines. It’s not a quiet job, and the floor is usually covered in metal scraps and oil. We have a dedicated team that doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. The office is just a partitioned area in the corner of the shed where we keep the records and handle the phone calls. It gets quite dusty because of the surrounding industry, so we are always wiping down the desks. We eat our lunch together in a small break area, usually talking about the work or the commute. There isn't anything fancy about our setup at A-12. It is built for utility and making sure the production line keeps moving. We deal with various metal components and parts that go out to other companies. The sun beats down on the corrugated roof during the middle of the day, making it pretty warm, but we have big fans that help a little. We just stay focused on getting the counts right and finishing the batches.
