About Singh Satnam Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Hoshiarpur
My setup for Singh Satnam Architect is in V.P.O. Dihana, which is out in the Hoshiarpur district. It’s a bit quieter out here than in the big cities. I work as an architect, mainly helping people with their homes and local buildings. I’ve got my drawing board and some basic tools in a room that serves as my office. It’s not a glass building or anything fancy. Sometimes people from the village stop by to ask about a wall they want to move or a roof that’s leaking. I grew up around here, so I know how the weather affects the buildings in this part of Punjab. I spend a lot of time on my bike going to different sites to see how the construction is going. It's dusty work, and my boots are usually covered in mud or sand. I don't have a website or a secretary. If someone needs me, they usually just come to the door or call my mobile. Architecture here is more about making things sturdy and useful for the families living in them. I like the slow pace of working in Dihana. You get to see the seasons change while you’re working on a project. It’s just me doing my bit for the local community, one drawing at a time. I often sit outside when the weather is good to work on my sketches. It’s a simple life but I enjoy seeing the houses come together. No one here cares about being fancy, they just want a roof that doesn't leak or crack when the heat gets bad.
