WCI

WCI is based out of 29 Bidhan Sarani in Uttarpara. It is an old building and it has its own character with the creaky doors and high ceilings. We have been working from this address for quite some time now. Uttarpara is a nice place to be and the street outside always has something going on. We are a small team and we don't really have a hierarchy. Everyone just chips in where they are needed. Sometimes the rain makes the roof leak a little but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. Our desks are covered in papers and coffee mugs. We don't have a polished website or a big sign outside. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. We spend our mornings going through emails and the afternoons are usually for packing or meetings. It’s not a high-pressure environment but we stay busy enough. There is a small park nearby where we sometimes go for a break if the weather is good. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to do our jobs well and be able to go home on time. It is a very normal, everyday kind of business. We like the slow pace of Uttarpara compared to the bigger cities.
