THE ROYAL ENTERPRISE

THE ROYAL ENTERPRISE is right by Kadamtala More, near the United Bank in Singur. It’s a busy corner of town. We are a small operation, mostly handling local trade and supplies. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day tasks. The shop is often cluttered with boxes and paperwork, but that's just how we work. People stop in all the time while they're doing their banking next door. We talk a lot with the neighbors. Singur is the kind of place where everyone knows what's going on. We sell a bit of everything that the local market needs. It’s not a fancy showroom. We have some shelves, a counter that’s seen better days, and a ceiling fan that squeaks a little. We try to keep things simple. If we have it in stock, we sell it. If we don’t, we tell you when it’s coming. We don’t try to push things on people. It’s more about being a part of the Kadamtala area. The traffic outside can be a headache, especially in the afternoons, but we like being in the center of things. We’ve been here a while and we plan on staying. It’s just a regular business run by regular people who want to earn a living without making a big fuss about it. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It's a good life.
