Our place, Vsl India Pvt Ltd, is tucked away on Shibtala Lane in the Mahesh area of Serampore. Being in Hooghly gives us a nice connection to the local community here in West Bengal. The office is at number 34/1, and it’s a modest setup that reflects how we like to do things. We mainly deal with structural work and some specialized engineering tasks. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us at a desk or looking over some site photos. The lane can get narrow, so it’s a bit of a squeeze for larger vehicles, but we’ve managed just fine over the years. We’ve got a small group of people who have been with us for a long time, so everyone knows their role. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations or long meetings. Most of our discussions happen over a cup of tea in the afternoon. We focus on the practical side of things, making sure the math is right and the materials are solid. It’s a bit of a traditional way of working, but it suits us and the people we work with. Serampore has a lot of history, and we feel like we’re just a small part of its ongoing story. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a quiet life for the most part, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
