Shiv Shakti Machinery Works

We've been here on Makla Road in Uttarpara for a good while now. It’s a busy spot and the workshop stays pretty noisy most days. Shiv Shakti Machinery Works isn't one of those shiny places you see in magazines, it's just a solid shop where we get things done. My hands are usually covered in oil by ten in the morning and that’s just how it goes. People around the district know where to find us. We handle a lot of metal and machine parts every day. Sometimes the machines act up or the power flickers, but we just deal with it and keep moving. There’s a tea stall just down the road that makes the day better when things get stressful. We don’t have fancy receptionists or a big waiting room here. If you come by, you’ll probably find us tucked away in the back working on some lathe or drill. The floor is always a bit messy with metal shavings and we spend a lot of time sweeping them up at the end of the shift. It's honest work. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just focus on the machinery and making sure the parts fit right. The air here smells like cutting oil and old iron. It’s what we know. If the rain is heavy, the roof makes a lot of noise, but we just talk louder and carry on with the tasks at hand. It might not look like much from the outside, but we take pride in the stuff we fix.
