A Reputed Steel Plant

A Reputed Steel Plant is over at 514, Subhasnagar, `B` Block, Po Nabagram in the Hooghly district. The pin code is 712 246. It is a large site because you need a lot of space for working with steel and storing it. The plant is always hot because of the furnaces and the smell of hot metal is everywhere you go. We have a lot of local guys from the `B` Block area working here. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit or stay clean. We are all in work boots and heavy clothes all day. Nabagram is a bit of a distance from the main city, so it’s quieter out here until you get inside the plant gates. We have some old trucks that haul the steel out to our customers on a daily basis. The office is just a small brick building near the main gate. It’s got some old desks and a fan that squeaks when it turns. We don't do any advertising or marketing. People just know we are here in Hooghly. Working with steel is hard on the body and the days can be very long. We just try to keep the production going without any accidents. It’s a very simple, old-school way of running a business. We don't have any fancy technology, just the machines we need to shape the steel. It’s just a regular plant doing regular work every day.
