We are based out of Singur in the Hooghly district. It's a place that most people in West Bengal have heard of for one reason or another. Our setup here as Rashmi Metaliks is pretty grounded. We don’t go in for anything flashy. Most days are spent looking over orders and making sure the metal we handle is where it needs to be. Singur has a certain rhythm to it, and we are just a small part of that daily life. The humidity in Hooghly can be a lot to deal with, especially in the middle of the year, but the staff here is used to it by now. We usually have tea together in the mornings before the real work starts. It’s a simple private limited setup where everyone knows their job. We don’t have a massive corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s more about the actual work on the ground. When people come by, they see us just doing our thing, usually surrounded by paperwork or checking on shipments. Sometimes the logistics can be a bit of a headache with the roads, but we find a way to make it work. It's a steady life here. We just try to keep the business running without making a big fuss about it. Every day is pretty much the same, focusing on the metal and the customers who need it. We aren't trying to change the world; we're just handling the metal trade as best as we can.
