Northline Survey & Amin Training Institute

We operate out of the Monalisa Appartment building, which is right by the Chinsurah Railway Station in Hooghly. Being so close to the station means there is always the sound of trains in the background while we are working. It’s a practical location for people coming in from different parts of the district. Inside, the space is filled with survey equipment like tripods and levels that we use for the training sessions. It’s not a fancy office; it’s more of a workshop feel where people get their hands on the tools. We have a couple of rooms for the theory parts, but most of the time is spent looking at maps or practicing with the gear. The floors are a bit worn down from people moving heavy equipment around all day. We keep a pot of tea going in the corner for the staff and the students who come in early. It gets a bit crowded when we have a full batch, but everyone just finds a spot to sit. Sometimes the lift in the building is out of order, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising; people mostly find us because they need to learn the trade for land work. It’s a straightforward place where we focus on the technical details of amin training. We deal with the paperwork and the instruments, making sure everything is ready for the next day's lessons.
