Indranil Das

I've been here at 22, P.K. Dutta Sarani for a while now. Most people around Hooghly know this spot near Uttarpara. It’s a busy enough street, but quiet enough to get things done. I go by Indranil Das, and this is where I handle my daily work. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. Just a regular place where the fan hums and the door stays open for whoever needs to stop by. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few years. I started doing this because it made sense to be close to home. People often ask if it's hard to find, but once you're on the main stretch of the road, it's pretty straightforward. I keep things simple here. There aren't many staff, usually just me taking care of whatever comes across the desk. It feels right to be part of the neighborhood instead of some far-off commercial building. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what I need. I spend most of my mornings here before the heat gets too bad. If you are walking down P.K. Dutta Sarani, you’ll see the sign. It’s just an honest way to make a living and help out the folks around this part of Hooghly. There is always a pot of tea nearby and some old files to sort through.
