Disha Public School

Disha Public School is tucked away in New Kazidanga, over in the Bandel area of Hooghly. If you are looking for us, we are in the 712123 zip code, not too far from the main road but far enough that it’s not too loud for the kids. The school building is a basic structure with several floors. We have classrooms for the younger children and the older ones too. Most of the people working here are from around the neighborhood. We don't have a massive playground, but there is enough space in the courtyard for the kids to play during their break time. The morning assembly happens every day right there in the middle. We focus on the regular school subjects like math and science. Sometimes the whiteboards get a bit stained, but we do our best to keep everything functional. Parents usually stop by the small office if they have questions about fees or holidays. It isn't a high-tech school with tablets for everyone; we mostly use notebooks and pens. The rainy season can be a bit messy because the ground near the entrance gets muddy, so we put down some bricks for people to walk on. It’s a local school for local families. We try to keep the kids disciplined and make sure they show up on time. It is a straightforward place with no big secrets, just a lot of teaching and learning happening every weekday.
