Desein Private Limited is out in West Bengal, in a place called Bansberia. Specifically, we are at 18 Shibpur Bye Lane. It’s a different vibe here compared to the big cities like Delhi. Hooghly has its own pace. The lane is narrow and it can be a bit of a squeeze if two cars are trying to pass each other. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The office is just a plain building, nothing that would make you stop and stare. We like it that way. It stays quiet most of the time, except when the local kids are playing outside in the afternoon. We do our work, keep our ledgers updated, and talk to the people who come by. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a website with a bunch of promises. We just have our address and our name on the wall. Sometimes the electricity acts up, especially during the monsoon season, so we keep some candles and a torch handy just in case. It’s just how things are in this part of the world. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We are just a small company in Hooghly doing what we know how to do. If you ever find yourself on Shibpur Bye Lane, you’ll see our door. It’s usually open during the day unless it’s raining too hard or it’s a holiday. We just keep moving along.
