Allied Engineering Corporation

Allied Engineering Corporation is based out of a place called Kanak Kutty in Pratabpur. It’s in the Chindsura area of Hoogly district. Our workshop is an old building that’s seen a lot of years. We do engineering work, which basically means we spend our days covered in grease and metal shavings. We have lathes and milling machines that have been around for decades, but they still work perfectly if you know how to handle them. The air in the shop always smells like cutting oil and hot metal. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with a wrench in hand. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’ve had some of the same customers since the beginning. We don’t do much advertising because word of mouth in Hoogly is usually enough. Sometimes we struggle to find specific spare parts for the older machines, so we end up making them ourselves. That’s the fun part of engineering, I guess. The commute for the guys isn't too bad, and we usually close up early on Saturdays to go home. We don't try to sound like a big international company because we aren't. We’re just a local shop in Pratabpur trying to do a good job with the tools we have. It’s a lot of hard work but it’s what we know. We just focus on fixing things right.
