D.M. Engineering

We are located at No49 on T.N Mukharji Road in the Raghunathpur area of Dankuni. It is an industrial kind of spot, which is good because we make a lot of noise with our lathes and welding equipment. D.M. Engineering is basically a big shed with a concrete floor and a lot of heavy metal machines. We’ve been working out of this location for years, taking on jobs from the local factories and smaller businesses nearby. There is always a smell of hot metal and cutting oil in the air. We don't have a sales team or a fancy office for meetings. If someone needs something made or repaired, they just walk into the shop and talk to us directly. We usually have several projects going on at once, so the floor is always covered in metal shavings and offcuts. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to stop the machines for a bit, which is frustrating, but it’s just part of working in Dankuni. We aren't big on talk; we just focus on the drawings and getting the dimensions right. It’s tough work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift, but there is something good about seeing a finished part ready to be sent out. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way, day after day, making sure the machines are kept in decent enough shape to handle the next job.
