Shree Shyam Brick Kiln

Out here near Sirsa Road, things are pretty quiet compared to the city. Shree Shyam Brick Kiln is located in Ellenabad, right in the tehsil area. If you are driving out this way, you can’t really miss the site. We have been working this land for a good bit of time. Making bricks is not an easy job, especially when the sun is hitting hard in Sirsa district. We spend our days at the kiln, checking the fire and making sure the clay is right. It is a lot of manual labor. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We stay busy through the seasons, though the rains can be a real headache for us. When the weather is dry, the chimneys are going and we are stacking bricks as fast as they come out. We are not some big corporation with a shiny office. Our office is just a small room near the entrance. You come in, we talk about what you need for your house or your wall, and we see what we have ready. We mostly deal with local builders and people from the nearby villages. It is honest work. We don't use fancy talk. If the bricks are good, they sell. That is how we see it. Being near the Sirsa road makes it easier for the tractors to get in and out.
