Manekrushi Jaivik Agro Private Limited

Manekrushi Jaivik Agro is run out of Lohgaon in the Hingoli district. Specifically, we work from Abhana Mane’s place in Dategaon. It’s a local setup, and we’ve been part of this community for as long as I can remember. We focus on jaivik, or organic, ways of doing things. It's not always the easiest way to farm, but it’s what we decided on. We aren't some massive company with hundreds of employees. It's just a handful of us making sure the work gets done right. Hingoli is a good place for farming, even if the rain is unpredictable some years. We spend a lot of time talking to other farmers in the area about how to keep the soil healthy without using too many chemicals. It’s a slow process, and you don’t see results overnight. But we are patient. We handle the paperwork and the shipping from the post office in Lohgaon. There aren't any big signs or glass buildings here. Just a regular house where we keep our records and plan out the season. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. If the crop is good, we say so. If it’s a bad year, we deal with it. That’s just how life goes in the village. We’re just trying to make a living and keep the land in good shape for whoever comes after us. It takes a lot of sweat, but it is worth it. It’s the life we know best.
