Green Marathwada Agrovan Producer Company Limited

You can find us at House Number 1317 in Pankanergaon. That’s in the Sengaon area. We call ourselves Green Marathwada Agrovan Producer Company Limited. It’s a long name for a group of local people who just want to grow more trees and better crops. We focus a lot on the agrovan idea, which is basically mixing trees with regular farming. It helps the land stay productive and gives us more than just one type of harvest. Pankanergaon is a small place, and our office is just a regular house where we gather to make decisions. Most of the members are farmers from the surrounding villages. We meet up once a week to talk about what we’re planting and how to share the costs of equipment. Sometimes we disagree on things, but that’s just how it goes when you have a lot of different people involved. We don't have a big corporate budget. We just put our own money and time into it. The weather in Marathwada can be pretty harsh, so we have to be smart about what we grow. We spend a lot of time outside looking at the saplings and making sure they have enough water. It’s not a fast process, but we’re in it for the long haul. We just want to see more green around here and help our families get by through farming together instead of alone.
