Star Granites

Down here in the Kiadb Industrial Area, things are always moving. Plot No. 212D is where we keep everything. It’s a bit of a drive out on Hn Pur Road, but that’s where all the industrial stuff happens. We have plenty of space here for the granite blocks. The noise from the other factories nearby is constant, but you stop hearing it after a while. We spend most of our time loading and unloading. The trucks come in early, usually before the sun is really up, and we get to work. It’s a lot of grey and black stone around here. We don't bother with fancy displays. The slabs are just lined up so people can see the patterns. It gets pretty muddy when it rains, and the stone gets slippery, so we have to watch our step. Working in an industrial area means we don't get many random walk-ins; it’s mostly people who know exactly why they are coming out this way. We’ve got a small office room where we keep the paperwork, but most of the day is spent out in the yard. It’s physical work and it’s loud, but it’s what we do. The granite comes in, we organize it, and then it goes out to wherever it’s needed. Not much more to it than that. We just stay focused on the task at hand and get home tired but satisfied with the day.
