Running a granite business in KR Puram means dealing with a lot of heavy lifting and plenty of dust. We are set up here focused on getting slabs ready and keeping the yard moving. It isn't a quiet job. There is always the sound of something being moved or a truck pulling in. KR Puram is always busy, so getting things in and out takes some timing with the local traffic. We have different types of stone lying around, some polished and some just raw blocks waiting for work. Our workspace is pretty basic. We spend our time checking the quality of the granite and making sure the cuts are okay. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, everything is covered in a fine layer of stone dust. We don't have a fancy office. It’s mostly just a desk in the corner where we handle the paperwork and take calls. People come by to look at the patterns in the stone, and we show them what’s currently in the yard. Every piece of granite is a bit different, so it takes time to go through them all. We just keep working through the piles. The weather affects us a bit since a lot of the work happens in the open, but we manage. It’s just us here, keeping the granite moving to wherever it needs to go next.
