You can find us over at Sonu Guesthouse, which is situated in the Laxman Jhula area. We’re on the other side of the bridge, right opposite the Sant Sewa Aashram. If you’ve walked across that bridge, you know how it can get with the monkeys and the tourists, but our spot is a bit more tucked away. We aren’t a big fancy center with air conditioning and glass walls. It’s a more humble setup inside the guesthouse where people come to practice yoga. The rooms are simple, and we lay out the mats on the floor for the sessions. You can often hear the sound of the river and the bells from the nearby temples while we’re working. Most people who come here are looking for something basic and real, not a spa experience. We have a few teachers who have been doing this for a long time, and they don't use a lot of complicated words. They just show you the poses and help you with the breathing. It’s a quiet life here, mostly. We deal with travelers from all over who are just passing through or staying for a few weeks to learn. The guesthouse has its own quirks, like the occasional creaky door or a flickering light, but it’s homey. We don’t do much marketing; usually, people just see our sign or hear about us from someone else staying in Laxman Jhula. It’s just a place to sit, stretch, and be still for a bit while the world goes by outside.
