Amar Jayoti Sen Sec School

Our school, Amar Jayoti Sen Sec School, is located on Gajsingh Pur Road in Sri Karanpur. The exact spot is Plot Chak 1Fa. It’s a bit out there in Sri Ganganagar, so it’s quiet enough for the kids to focus, mostly. We have a lot of space, which is nice, but it also means a lot of cleaning and maintenance. The building has seen many years and many students. We don't do much in the way of fancy events or high-end promotions. Most of our day is spent looking at lesson plans and making sure the registers are marked correctly. It’s a bit of a walk for some students, but they make it every day. The weather in Sri Ganganagar can be quite extreme, really hot or quite cold, and we just have to deal with it. We have a small staff who wear many hats—sometimes teaching, sometimes fixing a desk, sometimes helping a parent with paperwork. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is what we know. We see the kids growing up from small children to teenagers ready for the world. The walls have a few scuffs and the playground isn't perfect, but it is our place. We are just a local senior secondary school doing the work that needs to be done for the families around Gajsingh Pur Road.
