Savitri Public School

Savitri Public School is tucked away in Ward No-4, specifically on Ram Gali in the Kohta area. It is right in Hamirpur, so we are part of the local community here. The lane where we are is called Ram Gali and it can get a bit tight when everyone is arriving at once. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The school is a plain building, nothing too flashy, just enough rooms for the classes we have. We see the same faces every morning coming through the gates. The local kids walk over from the nearby houses. It is a very practical setup. We spend our days managing the classrooms and dealing with the usual paperwork that comes with running a school. Sometimes the bells don't ring exactly on time if we get busy, but we manage. In Himachal, the seasons change the way we do things, especially when the rains come down hard. We keep the place as tidy as we can. It’s a lot of work looking after so many kids in one go. We don’t use much big language here; we just talk like neighbors. If you walk down the street in Kohta, you will find us easily enough. Our address is 177001. Most of the teachers have been with us for years. It’s a steady kind of life. We focus on the books and the lessons. There is always a lot of chatter in the hallways during the lunch break. We keep things going one day at a time.
