Rajendra Lotus Public School

We started Rajendra Lotus Public School here in Hamirpur quite a few years back now. Being situated near the NIT in Anu Khurd makes it a busy spot most mornings. You can see the traffic picking up as the sun comes over the hills. Most of us here grew up in Himachal, so we know how the local life goes. The school building sits right there where people pass by on their way to work. It gets loud when the kids arrive, but that is just part of the day. We have a lot of rooms and some space for them to run around when the weather stays clear. Hamirpur-Himachal Pradesh is home to us. It isn’t some fancy office setup; it is a school with desks and blackboards and a lot of books. We spend our time checking homework and making sure the gate is locked at the right time. The staff comes in early. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy in the yard, but we just clean it up. People in the neighborhood know where we are. We don't spend much time on fancy letters or big signs. It’s mostly just about getting through the lessons every day. Sometimes we have tea together during the break when it’s cold outside. It’s a simple place near the main road where kids from around the town come to learn things. We try to keep things organized but there is always something going on. Every year we see new faces and say goodbye to the ones who have finished their time here. It's just life in a small town school.
