Vindhyanchal Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gram-Udaipur in Morar. It is basically a group of us from the local village who decided to organize things a bit better. Ranjana Bhadoria’s place is where we mostly meet up to discuss what is happening with the crops. In Udaipur, farming is what everyone knows, so it made sense to have a formal name for it. We handle a lot of the paperwork and distribution ourselves. It gets quite busy during the harvest season. You can usually find someone around the office during the day, unless they are out in the fields. We do not have a big fancy building, just the space here in the village. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and talk. Most of the farmers here have known each other for years. We deal with whatever seeds or fertilizers are needed for the season. It is a lot of work to keep track of everything, but we manage. People stop by to ask about prices or just to see what is going on. We try to keep things simple and honest. The road to Morar is okay, but it takes time to get things moved. We are just local people trying to make the farming business work for everyone involved. It is not always easy, but we have been at it for a while now. We focus on what is right in front of us.
