Satish Kumar Sabu

Satish Kumar Sabu is the name on the door here at Sabu Bhawan. We are situated on Naya Bazar Road, right in the heart of the Naya Bazar area. If you find the Mosk Masjeed, we are directly opposite it. It’s an old part of Gwalior, and the 474009 neighborhood has a lot of history. The building is our home base, and it stays quite busy throughout the day. We don’t have any shiny glass walls or modern art; it’s just a traditional office setup with old wooden desks and plenty of paper. Life around Naya Bazar is fast-paced, but inside Sabu Bhawan, we try to keep things steady. We deal with all sorts of people who walk in off the street. There is always the sound of the market outside, which becomes background noise after a few years. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just work. We take care of the details and try not to make mistakes. The office has been here long enough that most of the locals know the Sabu name. We drink our tea, talk to the neighbors, and keep the ledgers updated. It’s a simple existence, really. We are just part of the fabric of this street. If you need us, you just look for the mosque and cross the road. We’re usually there from morning until late evening, just getting things finished. The dust sometimes settles on the old files, but the work never stops. It’s just our way of life in Naya Bazar.
