Parijat

Parijat is located on the 2nd Floor of the Deendayal City Mall, which is right in Phool Bagh, Gwalior. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a different view than the shops on the ground level. You can see the Gurudhwara nearby from some parts of the mall. It’s a typical mall shop where we spend our time arranging items on the shelves and helping whoever walks through the door. The air conditioning in the mall is usually running, which is a relief from the Gwalior heat outside. We get a mix of people, from teenagers hanging out at the mall to families doing their weekend shopping. It’s quite a walk from the parking lot up to the second floor, but people seem to find us okay. The shop itself is kept simple. We don't have fancy displays that you can't touch. Everything is laid out so you can see it. On festival days, the mall gets incredibly crowded and it can get a bit loud with all the announcements and music playing in the hallways. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next customer. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town. We’ve been here in Deendayal City Mall for a while now, and it’s just how we spend our days, surrounded by the hum of the mall and the visitors.
