Jai Steel Furniture

Our place is right in Lohia Bazar, over in the Lashkar area. It is a noisy spot, mostly because of the traffic and all the other shops nearby. Jai Steel Furniture has been here for quite some time now. If you walk in, you will see a lot of steel cupboards, chairs, and desks just piled up or lined against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights or anything like that. It is just a practical shop where things get moved around a lot. Sometimes the floor is a bit dusty because of the road outside, but that is just how it is here. Most days are spent talking to people who want something sturdy for their homes or maybe a small office. We spend a lot of time checking the locks on the almirahs and making sure the drawers slide right. It is heavy work, moving these metal pieces around, especially when it gets hot in the afternoon. There are a few of us here who handle the loading and unloading when the trucks come in. We just try to get the work done and go home. People from around Lashkar know where to find us. We don't do much advertising; we just open the shutters early and wait for the day to start. It is a simple life, really, surrounded by metal and the sound of the market.
