Videonics

Our shop is called Videonics and you can find us over in the Lachit Nagar area. We are situated right opposite the KFC restaurant, which is a big landmark around here, and we are also quite close to the Kali Mandir. If you are coming down the main road in Guwahati, you just need to look for the spot across from Bye Lane-2 (North). We have been here for a good bit of time now. Mostly, we deal with video equipment and various electronics that people bring in. It is a small place, nothing too flashy or modern, but we have the tools we need to get our work done. The neighborhood is always buzzing with people, especially with the temple and all the food places right nearby. We usually have people dropping in to talk about their video projects or asking us to look at their gear. It is not a big team at all, just a couple of us who know our way around cameras and cables. We don't really do the whole polished marketing thing. We just talk to folks like normal people. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with boxes and tripods, but that is just how it is when we are busy working on something. We really like the spot we have here because it is so easy for people to explain where we are to their friends—they just tell them it’s near the Kali Mandir. We spend most of our days inside editing footage or checking that the equipment is working right.
