Our place, Hcl Infosytems, is located at 75/A in American Colony, which is over in the Pandu area of Guwahati. Being in the Kamrup district, we are a bit away from the main city center, but we like it that way. The office is a simple building that serves our needs. We spend our time working on computers and helping folks with their technical issues. It’s a practical environment with plenty of cables and hardware lying around. The weather in Guwahati can be quite humid, so we try to keep the windows open when there’s a breeze. It’s a local team here; most of us grew up nearby or have lived in the 781012 area for years. We aren't doing anything fancy or trying to sound like a big global firm. We just focus on the hardware and software tasks that come our way each morning. The American Colony is a decent neighborhood to work in, fairly quiet compared to the market areas. We have a small table in the back for lunch breaks, where we usually talk about local news or what’s happening in the district. It’s not a high-pressure corporate office, just a place where people work hard and get things done. We don't have a big front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, one of us will just look up from our desk to help you out. We keep things grounded and sensible here.
