Our shop is inside Dewan Mansion on G.S. Road. If you know where Hotel Ambrish is in Ganeshguri, we are just a short walk from there. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We deal with all sorts of electrical components. Wires, switches, light fittings, and things like that are piled up everywhere. The shop is a bit dim because we have so much stock blocking some of the light. We spend a lot of time testing bulbs or cutting lengths of cable for people who come in. G.S. Road is usually packed with cars, so getting deliveries in can be a challenge. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the books. It's usually covered in dust from all the cardboard boxes. The floor is concrete and shows its age, but it’s sturdy enough for the heavy crates we move around. We know the regular contractors who stop by every week. We don't really do much advertising; people just find us because we've been in Dewan Mansion for years. It’s a steady kind of work. We handle the returns and the repairs without much fuss. When the power goes out in the neighborhood, we are the first place people run to for batteries or lanterns. It feels good to be a part of the local scene here. We just take each day as it comes and try to stay organized.
