Sonapur College

Sonapur College is situated in Sonapur, Kamrup, which is listed as being in Odisha. The address can be a bit confusing to read, but we are right there in the local area of Sonapur. It’s a college that serves the people living around this part of Kamrup. The building itself has been around for a while and shows some age, but it’s sturdy enough for our needs. We have a mix of students coming from the nearby towns and some of the more rural spots. It’s a quiet place for the most part, away from the huge noise of a major city center. We have different departments for the various subjects we teach, and the professors usually just hang out in the staff room between their lectures. There isn't any fancy cafeteria or high-tech lounge here. We have basic benches and some trees in the courtyard where students sit when they don't have a class to attend. The office is usually the busiest place, with people asking about their results or trying to get their forms signed by the principal. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall; we just try to make sure the classes happen on time and the exams are graded fairly. Running a college in this area has its challenges, like when the weather gets bad and roads are difficult, but we've been doing it long enough to know the drill. It’s just a regular, local college for the community.
