Axom Academy

We are located on G N B Road in the Silphukhri area of Guwahati. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Bura Masjid, which is a big landmark in this neighborhood. Our academy is in a building that has been part of the street for a long time. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with different rooms for various classes. We have simple wooden benches and some old-fashioned blackboards that still use real chalk. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, so we are always wiping down the desks. The atmosphere is very casual. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. It’s usually just us and the students sitting around talking about their subjects. There is a small staff room where we keep our tea kettle and a pile of notebooks. In the afternoons, the sound of the calls to prayer from the mosque next door mixes with the noise of the traffic on G N B Road. It’s a very local vibe. We don’t spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny furniture. Most of our equipment is older, but it works fine for what we need to do. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in. It’s a simple way of running things, and it suits the neighborhood and the people who live around here. We just try to provide a quiet spot for learning.
