Our place is tucked away at House No-285, right near Mnc Hardware on Tulshi Path. If you know the Sixmile G.S Road area, you know how crowded it gets around here. We’ve got the brick yard set up, and it’s always a bit of a scramble getting the trucks in and out through the narrow parts. It isn't the cleanest job, I’ll tell you that. There is always red dust on everything, including my old desk. We spend most of our time out back checking on the loads or talking to the drivers who come in from all over. My brother and I handle most of the day-to-day stuff. We grew up around this kind of work, so it feels normal to us even when it’s exhausting. We don’t have a website or any of that corporate stuff people use now. We just have the phone and the gate. People usually find us because they’re already buying something at the hardware shop next door and they see our stacks. It’s a practical setup, really. Sometimes the rain slows us down and we just sit in the little shed drinking tea and waiting for it to stop. Those are the only times it’s actually quiet. Otherwise, it’s just the sound of bricks clinking and engines idling. We’ve been at this spot for a few years and it feels like home now, even with all the noise.
