Manish Tea Company

We are located right in the middle of the chaos that is Fancy Bazar. Our spot is on M.S Road, and if you have ever been here, you know it’s never quiet. The air is always full of the sound of rickshaws and people shouting. Manish Tea Company isn't a huge place with glass walls; it’s more of a working space where tea is the main thing we think about. We spend most of the morning unloading bags and checking what came in from the gardens. There is usually a layer of tea dust on the desks by the end of the day, no matter how much we wipe them down. It’s a bit cramped in the office when everyone is here, but we manage. We’ve got some old chairs for when people come by to talk business or just have a cup of tea themselves. It’s not about being fancy here, despite the name of the market. We just focus on getting the tea out to where it needs to go. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a mess, but we still open up. It’s just what we do. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. It’s just us, some tea, and a lot of work to get through every week. People know us for being around for a while and just getting the job done without much fuss.
