We’ve been here in Palashbari for quite a while now. Most people around Kamrup know where the village is, though it’s a bit of a drive if you aren't from around here. We deal with plywood mostly. The factory gets pretty loud during the day when the machines are running, but that's just how it is. We start early, usually when the sun is just coming up, to get the trucks loaded before it gets too hot. It’s a lot of physical work. There’s dust everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. We have some guys who have been with us since the beginning. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It gives us a chance to have some tea. We don't really do much advertising or anything fancy. People just find us or they’ve been buying from us for years. The road can get a bit muddy during the rainy season, which makes it hard for the heavy vehicles, but we manage. We just focus on getting the sheets cut and stacked. There isn't much to say about it other than we show up every morning and do the job. It’s a basic setup here in the village. We have a small office where we keep the ledger books and take phone calls. It’s not a fancy corporate office, just a place to sit and talk to customers who drop by. We’ve always preferred doing business face to face.
