Assam Tea

You can find us at Plot No.105 in Dana Bazar, right opposite the HDFC Bank. Being in the bazaar means it’s always crowded and there’s always something happening. Assam Tea has been operating from this little spot for quite a long time now. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack the crates and bags. Most of the time, the floor is covered in a bit of tea dust, but that’s expected in our line of work. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We just sell tea to the people who need it, whether they are buying a small packet for home or a big bag for their tea stall. My family has been in this trade for generations, so we don't know much else besides tea. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy slogan. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start our work. Sometimes the bank across the street gets a big queue, and people wander over to us while they wait. We’re happy to show them what we have available. It’s a basic, honest business. We deal with the suppliers, manage the stock, and talk to our regulars. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours, and we’re content with how things are going here in the bazaar. Every day is different depending on who walks through the door.
