Assam Tea Center

The Assam Tea Center is right here in Ulubari village. You can find us pretty easily because we are situated right near the flyover in the Kamrup district. Most of the time, the area is busy with people coming and going from the main road. It gets a bit noisy with the vehicles passing by on the flyover, but we have gotten used to that over the years. We spend our days handling different tea batches that come through the village. The air inside our workspace always smells like dried leaves and burlap. Sometimes the weather in Kamrup gets really humid, and it makes the work a bit slower, but we keep at it. Our building isn't anything fancy. It is just a practical space where we manage things. People from the village often stop by to say hello or ask about the latest stock we have on hand. We do not have a big office team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. We have been at this location for a while now, and the flyover has become the main landmark for anyone trying to find us. Usually, we start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. By noon, the sun is high and the tea bags are stacked up high too. It is a simple way of living and working. We just focus on the tea and getting through the day’s list of things to do.
