Venus Wrought Iron & Engineering Works

Venus Wrought Iron & Engineering Works is over on Sohna Road. We are pretty easy to spot because we are near the Government High School and the Shiv Mandir. Also, if you find Samvit Hospital, we are right opposite that. It is a busy stretch of road, especially when the school lets out or when there is a festival at the temple and people park everywhere. You can usually hear the sound of metal being worked on from a little distance away. We do a lot of engineering and iron work here, so there is always a bit of noise and some sparks flying. The shop is filled with tools and pieces of iron waiting to be shaped into something useful. It is a bit messy, to be honest, but that is just how a workshop looks when people are actually working. Islampur has changed a lot over the years, but we have stayed right here in this spot. We deal with all sorts of local people coming in with different requests for their homes or businesses. Some days are slower than others, but there is usually something that needs fixing or welding. We just take it one job at a time. The heat from the forge can be quite a lot during the summer, so we keep the fans running all day long. It is a hard way to make a living, but it is what we know.
